It started with a need.
It grew into a speciality.
Some moves need more than extra hands. They need a team that understands the weight, the item and everything standing between it and its destination.
Through our moving work in Sydney, we saw a clear need for a more considered heavy lifting service. Customers had large, valuable or awkward items to move, but the job was rarely just about getting them onto a truck. There were tight staircases, fragile finishes, restricted doorways and heavy equipment that needed careful preparation.
We developed JB’s specialist heavy lifting service around that need, with safety at the centre: tailored planning, suitable equipment and experienced people working together. The aim was to give each demanding move the attention it deserved, from the first assessment to the final placement.
That approach is now part of our services in Brisbane, on the Gold Coast and in Melbourne. Our Sydney experience remains the foundation. The item and access at your own property determine the plan.

Understand the item.
We start with what needs moving: its dimensions, known weight, construction, condition and any manufacturer instructions. We look at how it is supported and what preparation may be needed before collection.
Plan the whole route.
Stairs, lifts, landings, slopes, doors and loading points all shape a specialist move. We consider collection and delivery together, including the space needed for handling and the intended final position.
Match the method.
Stair climbers, gantries, trolleys, skates and other lifting equipment serve different purposes. We assess the equipment, supporting crew, protection and transport as parts of one coordinated scope.

A heavy move can involve valuable equipment, delicate stone or an item with personal significance. It can also take place inside a home, business or building that needs thoughtful protection.
We put safety into the planning, with controlled handling and clear responsibilities. We discuss the lifting stages, working space, protective materials and transfers before confirming the method. Where technical disconnection, structural advice or another specialist is needed, that work must be identified and assigned in the scope.
We do not treat an equipment rating as a complete moving plan. Suitability depends on the load, its balance, the route and the conditions on site. Clear information helps us assess those factors together.
